The Conscious Organisation Programme

Unlike any management, personal development or business training you have ever experienced, this is a tour-de-force of pioneering ideas from business, biology, chemistry, psychology, sociology and hard-won experience. We put it together to form a cohesive thought-platform and tool box for effecting powerful change and dramatically increasing creativity, productivity, wellbeing and resilience for any organisation. It is a mixture of educational learning, group activities and games designed to spark and embed understanding and to facilitate expanded thinking. We include each of the five individual courses listed below.

The programme is available for delivery within a single organisation or as an open programme in the following formats:

2 day - The original immersive, interactive, foundational programme

3 day - A deeper dive into the concepts with more activities for embedded learning

4 day - Highly immersive training including organisational modelling and bespoke                 focus points for each organisation

Introduction to the Conscious Organisation

Not as hippy as it might sound, we define Organisational Consciousness as a thought paradigm to dramatically increase creativity, dynamism and resilience in the modern organisation. 

The concepts are introduced and discussed, often producing "lightbulb moments" among participants! Following this, the Four Cornerstones of a conscious organisation are introduced as the toolbox and ideal platform from which to build powerful effectiveness.

This course is available for delivery within a single organisation or as an open course in the following formats:

Full day - A solid introduction to the foundational concepts and the four cornerstones, concluding with an activity to embed the understanding.

Half day - An introduction to the foundational concepts and cornerstones.

1.5 hour online - An introduction to the foundational concepts.

45mins / 1hr - A keynote style presentation of the foundational concepts.

Listenership

This is the most fundamentally important thing in all organisations, from multinational corporations to sole traders, and the thing which most get wrong most of the time! Indeed, if you can't do this effectively, your organisation cannot undertake any of its other functions or achieve its goals effectively. You cannot lead if you don't listen!

In the course, we define what listenership is, why it is so important and what you need to do to get it right. We look at attention, bias, the myth of objectivity, the relationship between vulnerability and creativity, and the evolutionary nature of mutual structural coupling and what it means for the effectiveness of teams and organisations. This is mission-critical learning and understanding for every person, in every organisation, everywhere.

We include classroom style teaching, group discussion, activities and innovative games for immersive, experiential learning.

This course is available for delivery within a single organisation, as an open course or as a mentoring session for small groups, in the following formats:

Half day - An immersive learning experience covering the foundational aspects.

Full day  - An immersive learning experience with more activities from several different angles to embed full understanding.

Systemic Analysis

Learn to move beyond cause and effect, event level analysis, into a more strategic and nuanced approach. We use the concepts of systems thinking and structural archetypes to demonstrate ways to avoid unintended consequences, blame culture and continual fire-fighting in operations and management. We show that endless graft and force are not the most effective or efficient ways of bringing about change in an organisation. We look instead at how to find the system leverage points which achieve the desired effect with far less effort and stress.

This is a must for those organisations where the same mistakes and problems seem to keep recurring. You will learn to recognise these issues as systems archetypes and find ways to avoid them. We include a mixture of classroom style learning and activities and a games-based finale for some deep insights!

This course is available for delivery within a single organisation, as an open course or as a mentoring session for individuals or small groups, in the following formats:

Half day - A classroom style session covering all of the key aspects and foundational principles with some practice in causal-loop diagramming.

Full day  - An immersive learning experience including activities and games to embed full understanding.

Leadership

Just as listenership is the most important thing in every organisation, leadership is the most misunderstood. The first part of this course busts a few myths, so be prepared to leave your defences at the door! We then look at how to facilitate a culture of shared, dynamic leadership which fosters powerful, spontaneous creativity and faster potential realisation of organisational goals, whilst empowering all members of the team and improving the wellbeing of everyone. If that sounds too good to be true, it's not - we have examples to prove it!

This course is delivered alongside the Teamship course below, because the concepts are strongly interdependent. It's available for delivery within a single organisation, for bespoke groups, or as an open course in the following format:

Full day  - An immersive learning experience including activities, games, classroom style learning and group discussion.

Teamship

Teamship is about empowering good people to do great work. ​It's about having strong, effective, happy teams which deliver better results and are more engaged. Very often overlooked in favour of leadership, it can be forgotten that it's the team that does the work, not just a leader. Good followership is a highly underrated ability! But wait, wouldn't it be better if everyone was empowered for good leadership, and good followership, when required? We agree - that's Teamship.

This course is delivered alongside the Leadership course above, because the concepts are strongly interdependent. It's available for delivery within a single organisation, for bespoke groups, or as a team-building day in the following formats:

Full day  - An immersive learning experience including activities, games, classroom style learning and group discussion.

Team away day - More focus on the fun team-building aspects of the course, activities and games, whilst still covering the core concepts.
